The town of Glasgow has re-elected Mayor Sam Blackburn to another two years – after 30 years as mayor. He defeated challenger Lynda Mundy-Norris Miller by 13 votes – 145 to 132.
Meanwhile, three of four candidates won positions on the Glasgow Town Council. Incumbent Monica J. Dock won the most votes – 200 – for a third term on the council. Incumbent Ruby Ogden Clark, with 11 years on the council, came in next with 188 votes. The third winner in the council race was Caleb Keckler, 20, who claimed 137 votes.
The fourth candidate, former council member Sarah C. Funkhouser, received 118 votes, or 18.15 percent of the vote. A third incumbent, Boyd Walker, was not a candidate.
