Beauty products hijacked in Roanoke

ROANOKE, Va. (AP) — Police are investigating the theft of a tractor-trailer loaded with beauty products from a travel center in Botetourt County.

Botetourt County sheriff’s Maj. Delbert Dudding told the Roanoke Times that the tractor-trailer was stolen Monday evening while the trucker was inside the TA Roanoke Travel Center off Interstate 81.

Police found the tractor about 45 minutes later abandoned in Rockbridge County.  The trailer and its load of Elizabeth Arden products was missing.

A similar theft occurred in November 2010.
