After being in the heart of Lexington for 59 years, Grace Presbyterian Church has decided to relocate to Greenhouse Village right outside of the city. The Rev. Paul Carter said the church had to move because its current location is too small to accommodate its needs. Carter also said the church’s members tried but failed to find a suitable location in Lexington.
The new site is adjacent to Windfall Hill, where many Washington and Lee University students live and socialize. Carter said he believes that the church is far enough away from the students that there won’t be any problems.
The church plans to open Oct. 23.
